The Dark Knight: 21 Bloopers and Counting
Posted on July 29th, 2008 by tdksucks
In addition to the large number of major story, logic, writing, direction, and other issues documented on The Dark Knight Sucks web sites, the Movie Mistakes web site currently has 21 “bloopers” listed for the movie, and the list is growing. Bloopers are primarily continuity goofs or unintended editing mistakes.

I’ve always found small goofs like that interesting.
Try not to give your website the same credit though, it doesn’t work that way – these are actual goofs.
I never seem to be able to find them myself, but it’s fun to look back on movies with the knowledge. And the bit about Joker’s hair length is interesting, they said the same about Aragorn in the LOTR films.
Another interesting tidbit: The Godfather apparently has 54 goofs/bloopers. That surprised me – need to check some of these out for myself.
This website reminds me of those “blow up my ps3 because I love Xbox360″ websites. I understand you’re not comparing it to another movie you like, but it’s relatively the same idea. You hate something so much you’re obsessed with it. Just like we’re fanboys because we like it, you’re a fanboy of hating it. We like to show how much we like it. You go to extremes to nitpick a good movie. In the end, this comment took 10 minutes of my time (to read your blogs and for this response) while your website probably took a week or so I’m guessing? Not to insinuate you have no life, but who’s the fanboy?
“…while your website probably took a week or so I’m guessing”
What year do you think this is? It takes 3 minutes to sign up for a blog on a blog service, 3 minutes to buy a domain, 3 minutes to point the domain to the blog, and 10 minutes to configure the template and settings. The writing takes the time, 10-20 min per article, but if I wasn’t writing here I would be writing on random people’s sites… like you.
For most of the “goof-ups” mentioned in the goof-up site related to continuity, there can be a plausible explanation. The Dark Knight truly was one of the best films most people have ever seen. But people like you are definitely so obsessed at hating it – probably because you’re a fan of some other great movie, whose greatness is being rivaled by TDK that you go to extremes to creating these blogs, nitpicking the movie. No movie can be the best of all time forever, which goes for TDK as well but to make up sites like these emphasizes that you definitely have no life. so……
stfu.
Taking from a comment above that Godfather has apparently 54 goofs, no one’s going to make up a site like ” Why The Godfather sucks”(except people like you). Godfather is a legend in film-making and TDK might probably become one someday….. even if people like you start campaigns against it.
The Godfather has been out 36 years, TDK for 2 weeks. The flubs will pile up.
@ Apra
Don’t take that comment the wrong way – I absolutely love The Godfather. And I’m certainly not starting any campaigns against either film, as I regard them both as masterpieces in their craft. Don’t confuse me with ‘tdksucks’.
@…
You didn’t understand my post. I am a big fan of The Godfather as well. As for the campaign stuff, it was aimed at tdksucks – he’s the one running a web-site against the movie. All I’m saying is even if The Godfather had that many bloopers, it is a legendary movie. So TDK can’t be called a bad movie if it has the many number of bloopers in it as is being claimed.
@tdksucks
The problem with people like you is that you can’t take the fact that a new movie maybe as good as a classic in a calm manner. I mean, TGF was also a new movie when it was released. It stood the test of time. Maybe TDK will as well.
Somebody needs a life and it ain’t the webmaster.
LOL Tosh.
So everyone can STFU about telling me to “get out of the basement”, I’m a college graduate and run my own business (2nd business actually) and live on the top floor of a building in an upscale area in West LA, with a balcony and a sunset view of the West Hollywood hills. I saw TDK exactly once. I never see any movies in a theater more than once. For anyone enamored with the film who’s gone to see it an extra 2 or more times has already wasted more of their life than I’ve spent in total putting this site up.
You’re just a quick writer
Isn’t there a car parked in the back ground of a scene in Ben Her? Or is that a myth?
I think anyone posting here obviously has some free time… haha… I usually go here from work when I have nothing to do(which is most of the time), but I DID make time to see the movie… actually FOUR times!
But did I really waste more time when tdksucks making this site? I’m a film maker and need inspiration, and was speechless about how good the movie was… I have lots of friends that wanted to see this movie so I went with them, and each time I loved it. I want to make a movie like THAT some day! The kind that was so good people go see more then once and loved it each time, that has “classic” potential, and the people who don’t like it are driven so crazy they have to make en entire blod dedicated to hating it to prove their point!
Even more so a college graudate with a 2nd business and does THIS in his spare time!
You guys are missing the point.
By saying “every goof is plausible” you are just proving how blinded by the bat-fever you are.
This is not a legendary film. This is a very good summer movie. Explosions. Attempted phsycobabble. Cool effects. Awesome.
But there is NOTHING legendary or groundbreaking about this film other than the cashwhore it’s become. That’s it.
It’s a smarter than average action movie with good actors.
test of fucking time?
amusements are always amusing
thinking it’s more than that is amusing
This site sucks. True story.
So what I want to know is did tdksucks REALLY think this movie sucked (0-3/10) or does he just hate that people call it the “Best movie ever” and wishes it was rated 7-9/10?
Answer honestly because if it sucked as you claim then you put it among the IMDB bottom 100 with the likes of Zombie Nation, Hottie and Nottie, etc.
If you honestly put it with movies like that then I want to see a lot more proof then what you have posted here, if it is even a 6-7 for you then take the sucks out of the name and change it to mediocre.
John, good point. I wonder the same thing, and nothing’s worse than Zombie Nation.
It may not be the best movie ever to older film watchers just because they were there when Godfather came out. What the “fanboys” are saying is that it’s the best movie they’ve seen. It’s their Godfather.
I like tdksuck’s statement about how accomplished he is. It’s amusing =)
I don’t understand what the big deal is. Like you’re going to watch a comic book movie about goddamned Batman and, for some reason, you just can’t suspend your disbelief that much. I don’t think the movie was made for people like you, and I’m sure you’re putting a lot of hard work into this site. Keep up the good work, though. I’m sure some day your blog will be so brilliant, that it too will gross $400 million. I mean, we all know that just because something sells doesn’t mean it’s worth buying, but really…going to these lengths to slag one of the greatest movies ever made just makes you look like an attention-seeking, miserable old crone. Good luck with that. I’ll gladly pay twice what I paid to see TDK, and I’ll do it again on DVD. I feel sorry for you, as you obviously just can’t handle a movie this awesome. You must be so lonely. Just you and your opinions down there in your mom’s basement, eh? Have fun.
TDKsucks,
So, what degree do you have? And what kinda businesses?
Drama and telephone marketing/door to door hawking? Physical Education and masseur/pimp?
I’m not having a go, though, just wondering.
But, just so I’m sure, you’ve only seen the movie once yet are still willing to put all the things you didn’t like about it down as flaws rather than your own lack of comprehension skills/background knowledge, and this despite being picked up on more than a few observational errors by (polite, well structured) posts on this page?
Hmm.
Polictical science, advertising/spin doctor?
Am I right?
Heath Ledger was brilliant and a true example of what great acting should be about…and I’m so thankful he stole the show! However I thought the film kinda sucked too – it was terribly disappointing… there were some production mishaps, I thought the casting of Maggie and the leading lady was a huge mistake and then parts of the film were a bit confusing.
Ok, goofs are a common part of movies. The Departed (best picture 2007, great movie) has a number of goofs. the Godfather (both of them, havent seen the third so i wouldnt know) have goofs. Almost all movies made have goofs in one forms or another. Unless these goofs are plainly noticeable, for the most part it wont affect the quality of the film. Doesn’t affect the godfather, the departed, or tdk.
Ok, goofs are a common part of movies. Plan 9 from Outer SPace has a number of goofs. Manos, the Hands of Fate, have goofs. Almost all movies made have goofs in one forms (sic) or another. If critics don’t use goofs and logic in regards to reviewing a movie, then all movies are masterpieces. That’s the point I wanted to make.
Holy fuck, you people are retards.
Every single time somebody who utterly loathes a “negative opinion” about TDK, they can only attack with “prove it!” or “no it didn’t!”
Go ahead then – “prove” The Dark Knight DIDN’T suck. And we’re not talking about financial success. In this age of rampant viral marketing and Attention Deficit Disorder it’s not that difficult to seperate the great unwashed masses from their money – AND to make them thank you for it.
But, I’m serious – without doggedly repeating the same idol-worship about Ledger we hear everywhere else – point out some OTHER part of TDK that makes it “a masterpiece” or “the perfect film” or, hell – even just “good”.
I thought that movie was a tired, over-contrived circle-jerk of “Hey, look! A ‘Batman’ film! Be impressed, dammit!”
@ Jimmyboy:
“Manos; the Hands of Fate” had “bloopers”?!? THAT WAS THE WORST MOVIE OF ALL TIME! Every single frame was a festering boil of radioactive pus! The only way that “film” is watchable is through the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version – and that’s only because they HATED it.
And what’s with the “Godfather” comparisons? That’s just plain stupid. If you think TDK was “better” than “The Godfather”, you are functionally retarded and have completely rendered your opinion null and void.

THE JOKER TDK
Having some minor mistakes doesn’t make a movie bad. Everything has mistakes and goofs in it, ’tis human nature.
Je, justo queria leer acerca de esto, investigando llegue hasta tu blog, exelente entrada !!! gracias !!
every movie has bloopers, the matrix has many bloopers, i mean its an adaptition of a comic, and im not saying its a masterpeice, but compared to the crap these days, transforemers(okay movie), ironman(rubish) tdk was amazing, yh not the gretest movie, but i mean not everyone likes the godfather,or rocky or scareface, tdk was a masterpeice compared to the modern movies that have the same story line, evey time, i mean have you seen the spirit,it was the worst movie ive ever seen, but it had good ratings??? you people wake up,a movie is a movie,if its crap its crap, its just for entertainment, its not the end of the world, theres more to life then movies, movies make you brain dead anyways
curious…who really cares? Either way, this is all opinion. I understand fanboys want to defend their precious movie (and it is pretty enjoyable to read the attempts) but at the same time I also understand that society has conditioned people to be the way they are. If you want to blame someone/something for all the hype, don’t look to the fanboys, but to the people in charge of media and entertainment. Look at the people who are in charge of us…these people are the ones responsible for a floop like TDK becoming the movie embodiment of christ.
