I wanted to do a little something different in this article. Rather than my writing about why something couldn’t have possibly worked in the storyline, or how ridiculous something was in the storyline, I’m swinging the door open for people to submit HOW they believe it could be plausible in the storyline. I will present [...]

When many people think of Heath Ledger, I would gather the following words come to mind: sympathy, sadness, good actor, gay cowboy. He’s played: a patriot, a drug addict, Casanova, a surfer, a knight, and most recently a deranged psychotic. Regardless of how mediocre “The Dark Knight” was overall, he did succeed in out-shining all [...]

How in the world can a big yellow school bus crash through a bank and nobody on the street seems to notice? Further, after the bak robbery, the bus COINCIDENTALLY pulls out of the bank and into the middle of a line of other school buses in broad daylight, with cops right up the street and [...]

Let’s look a little closer at yet another aspect of Nolan’s “ultra-real” superhero movie:
The time period of the hospital evacuation segment is implied as being enough time to evacuate an entire hospital. The initial moments of The Joker’s threat hitting the airwaves, Gordon is heard shouting to various police crew to evacuate Gotham General Hospital [...]

I was laughing with my buddy today about the rottweiler scene near the end and how farcical it was overall. Firstly, it was funny how in a movie where the lead villain happens to only carry knives for weapons, Bruce Wayne just happened to want a newer costume and the new one Lucious gave him [...]

Harvey & Rachel get kidnapped. Harvey is shown kidnapping Gordon’s family, Harvey is shown kidnapping Joker’s henchman. So clearly when secondary characters are kidnapped it’s important to show their kidnappings. However, apparently, when major characters are kidnapped, it’s not important to show it because the audience is supposed to presume that The Joker is omnipotent, all-powerful, and kidnaps [...]

Apparently, crazy is as crazy does, and needs no further explanation. The Joker is first introduced in TDK rather brilliantly, as dangerous, psychotic, and reasonably well-played by Heath Ledger. The problem is, other than his own dialogue in 2 moments of the movie about his father that he hated who gave him is facial scars, [...]
